Types of Water Pumps We Install

We service many types of well pumps, including submersible, turbine, and jet style. Our team uses only the best pumps available, so you can depend on your water supply without worrying about breakdowns. No matter your well pump installation needs, our team of knowledgeable technicians can get your water supply flowing again!

Submersible Pumps

If you have a deep well, a submersible pump is ideal for your home. The reason for this is that a submersible pump pushes water up through a multi-stage pump to build pressure rather than pulling or sucking water, allowing the water to travel greater distances than other pump types.

Submersible pumps also come with several benefits, such as never needing to be primed (in other words, air, gas, and other vapors can’t get trapped in the pump) and delivering terrific volume and pressure. If you have an issue with a submersible pump, the problem is likely in the seal. If the pump’s seal fails, water can enter different chambers and damage the electrical motor or cables. Because of these electric components, you’ll want your submersible pump installed by someone who will take great care to protect the electrical elements, such as a technician from Perry’s Pump Repair.

Jet Pumps

Jet pumps usually come in two forms: one-line jet pumps and two-line jet pumps. One-line jet pumps draw water from a maximum depth of 24 feet and can generate around 50 psi of water pressure, the ideal psi for comfortable showers and getting your dishes done quickly. A two-line pump has a similar psi, but the two lines allow it to draw water from a deeper source than 24 feet.

If you’re unsure which your house needs, we’ll help you identify how deep your well is and install the correct one for your home. We’ll also make sure your pump is properly primed, so it works efficiently and without issue. Typically, jet pump failures occur due to drawing from too deep of a well, a poorly fitted suction pipe, or a break in the airtight seal on the suction pump. With Perry’s Pump Repair, we account for all these common issues during the installation process and ensure your pump can run issue-free once we’re done!

Turbine Pumps

A turbine pump consists of a rotating shaft, an impeller (or multiple impellers, which are often referred to as stages), and a motor. These parts work together to move fluid through a water intake point through the rotation of the impellers and then deliver the water to your home. These pumps are usually installed above the water, so they’re a good option for those who can’t use a submersible pump.

FAQsCommon Questions about Well Pump Installation

How Do I Know if I Need a New Pump?

There are several signs you may need a new pump. These include:

  • No water in your home
  • Pump runs constantly
  • High utility bill suddenly
  • Sputtering faucet
  • Inconsistent water pressure
  • Unusual sounds from your pump
  • Frequent repairs

If you notice any of these signs, call the team at Perry’s Pump Repair to address the issue and have a new pump installed in your home!

Should I Replace or Repair My Pump?

Whether or not you should replace or repair your pump will depend on several factors. If this is the first time your pump is having an issue, a repair may be enough to get it back in working order, depending on how severe the damage is. The benefit of a repair over a replacement is that it is often cheaper. However, sometimes, a repair isn’t your best option even if it does cost less in the short term.

A damaged or older pump may need frequent repairs and become less energy-efficient. So not only are you spending money trying to repair your pump, but your energy bill may be higher than normal while the issue persists. If this is the case, a replacement may be your best option. It’ll cost more upfront, but it will save you money and peace of mind in the long run.

Our technicians will be able to evaluate your pump and tell you the best course of action. Plus, when you get a replacement pump with us, you can rest easy knowing that it’s made of high-quality parts at a cost-effective price—reducing the amount of repairs you’ll need on it throughout its lifespan.
